CM Yogi Reviews Preparations, Directs Gadhmukteshwar Fair to Be Celebrated as a ‘Mini Kumbh’

LUCKNOW: The Gadhmukteshwar fair will run this year from October 30 to November 5. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has reviewed the preparations to ensure pilgrims face no problems. He has instructed officials to arrange for the deployment of the NDRF, SDRF, CCTV surveillance, and rescue boats.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the arrangements for the Gadhmukteshwar fair. He stated that the fair is a symbol of faith, discipline, and cleanliness, and this time, it will be organized as a ‘Mini Kumbh’. He directed officials to ensure robust security and facility arrangements.

The Gadhmukteshwar fair will take place this time from October 30 to November 5. According to information, 40 to 45 lakh pilgrims are expected to attend the Gadhmukteshwar fair this year. Considering the estimated number of devotees, the CM has instructed that preparations be completed in a timely manner. Concerned officials have been asked to ensure the deployment of NDRF, SDRF, CCTV monitoring, and rescue boats.

Focus on Cleanliness and Environment As per the CM’s directives, single-use plastic will be completely banned at the fair. The banks of the Ganga will be cleaned, and arrangements will be made for garbage collection. The Chief Minister also announced that Gadhmukteshwar will resonate with Rasleela/Krishna Leela (plays depicting Krishna’s life) and folk singing this time.

The Gadhmukteshwar fair is a meeting point of faith and culture. The religious tradition of Gadhmukteshwar will be revived, millions of pilgrims will gather, and the beauty of folk arts will be visible. During his inspection, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performed Ganga Puja and toured the Sadar Bazaar area.

A Site of Religious Faith and Culture It is noteworthy that the Karthik Purnima Gadhmukteshwar fair is a significant center of religious faith for Hindus. It is also a time when the beauty of cultural tradition and folk life is displayed. This year, millions of lamps will light up the Ganga banks. The enchanting sight of Rasleela, Krishna Leela, and folk singing will also be visible.
