NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a two-day visit to Israel this Wednesday, February 25, aiming to further consolidate the robust strategic partnership between the two nations. In his departure statement, PM Modi expressed his eagerness to meet Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, describing the visit as an opportunity to set new goals for a “resilient, innovative, and prosperous future.”

The visit, which comes at the invitation of PM Netanyahu, will focus on enhancing cooperation in key sectors, including science and technology, water management, agriculture, and defense. A historic highlight of this trip will be PM Modi becoming the first Indian Prime Minister to address the Israeli Parliament, the Knesset.

During the visit, he is also scheduled to meet Israeli President Isaac Herzog and interact with members of the Indian diaspora. PM Modi emphasized that the discussions will also cover regional and global issues of mutual interest, further cementing the enduring bonds between India and Israel. (PTI)
