DOHA (March 2): Qatar successfully intercepted Iranian attacks targeting key civilian infrastructure, including Hamad International Airport, the foreign ministry spokesperson confirmed on Monday. Speaking to CNN, Majed Al Ansari stated that such blatant attacks on sovereign territory “could not remain unanswered.”
Al Ansari further emphasized that Qatar is not engaging in any diplomatic dialogue with Tehran at this moment. The escalation follows a wave of Iranian strikes across the Gulf region, but Qatari defense systems managed to neutralize the threats before they could cause major damage to civilian areas. (Reuters)
