A 42-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death by a couple in Kollam’s Parippally after being accused of constantly harassing a woman over the phone. The deceased has been identified as Dileep, a native of Umayanalloor.
Following the incident, the police have taken Varun (30) and his wife Sona into custody.
According to reports, Dileep had been sending frequent messages to Varun’s wife, which she brought to her husband’s attention. The couple then lured Dileep to an isolated area near Uliyanad on Sunday under the pretext of having a discussion. Upon his arrival, the duo allegedly assaulted him, causing him to collapse on the spot. Though he was rushed to the hospital, he was declared dead on arrival. Parippally police have registered a case and are investigating if more individuals were involved in the crime. (Kerala News)
