THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former IAS officer K Suresh Kumar has come out with a explosive revelation claiming that Pinarayi Vijayan intentionally sabotaged a successive term for the V S Achuthanandan-led LDF government. He alleged that during the 2011 assembly elections, candidates were deliberately fielded in 13 specific constituencies with the sole intention of ensuring their defeat. Suresh Kumar has raised these serious allegations through his newly published book titled With VS: My Days.
Speculations and allegations had already been raised from various political quarters in the past that V S Achuthanandan missed out on a successive term due to certain internal dynamics and activities within the party. However, Suresh Kumar has now directly alleged through his book that it was Pinarayi Vijayan who actively worked behind the scenes to ensure that a successive term was denied. Suresh Kumar further claims in the book that VS himself had personally revealed this information to him.
The book also contains another grave allegation that the CPIM had officially assigned three specific individuals to regularly leak official government files from the Chief Minister’s office during the tenure of V S Achuthanandan. He notes that not a single file movement took place in the Chief Minister’s office without the knowledge of the AKG Centre. The book alleges that crucial files arriving at the CM’s office were consistently passed on to the AKG Centre by Private Secretary S Rajendran, Political Secretary K N Balagopal, and Special Private Secretary N Chandrasekharan Panicker.
