33 Killed in Airstrikes Near Yemen’s Capital, Alleges Houthi-Run Health Ministry.

SANAA: At least 33 people were killed and 39 others wounded in airstrikes targeting the Bani Hushaysh area near Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, which Houthi-controlled authorities attribute to Saudi Arabia. According to Houthi officials, the strikes occurred on Saturday (November 7), destroying several residential buildings, with women and children making up a significant portion of the casualties.

The death toll and details of the attack were initially released by the Houthi-run Saba news agency. Officials reported that numerous individuals remain trapped beneath the rubble of collapsed homes as emergency rescue operations continue at the site.

Dr. Abdul-Aziz al-Dailami, director of Sehatuna Hospital in Sanaa, alleged that follow-up strikes targeted first responders at the scene. He noted that multiple critically injured victims had been admitted to the hospital, receiving emergency medical treatment for severe head, chest, and lower-limb injuries.

However, Saudi Arabia has not officially confirmed responsibility for the airstrikes. The Saudi Center for International Communication informed Reuters that the incident is currently under review. Meanwhile, independent verification of the casualty figures and operational details provided by Houthi authorities has not been possible.
