KOCHI: The beloved Shaji Pappan and his iconic gang are returning with a striking makeover. The makers of ‘Aadu 3’, written and directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas, have unveiled the key character posters of the film. Seven major character posters were released on Sunday, January 25, between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM via social media.
The reveal began with Vinayakan’s character ‘Dude’, followed by Indrans, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Vijay Babu, Saiju Kurup, and Sunny Wayne, concluding with the grand reveal of Jayasurya as Shaji Pappan. Unlike the previous two installments, the characters sport entirely different looks, resembling historical or legendary figures. Accompanied by the tagline “Past Awakens,” the posters have sparked speculation about a potential ‘time travel’ or ‘fantasy’ element in the movie.
Produced by Vijay Babu and Venu Kunnappilly under the banners of Friday Film House and Kavya Film Company, the film features a massive ensemble cast including Aju Varghese, Srinda, and Renji Panicker. Filming has been completed across locations like Palakkad, Idukki, and Thiruchendur, and the project is currently in the post-production phase. ‘Aadu 3’ is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2026.
