THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Police confirmed on Saturday that a case has been registered against a BJP supporter for allegedly molesting a housewife while accompanying a party candidate during a door-to-door campaign for the local body elections in Kerala.
According to police officials, the incident took place on Friday in the Edavilakom ward of the panchayat. The accused, identified as Raju, a resident of Mangalapuram, was campaigning alongside the BJP candidate.
Reports indicate that after the candidate left the house, Raju allegedly remained behind and asked the victim for drinking water. (PTI)
