Delhi Man Killed in Violent Clash Over Holi Water Balloon Incident.

A 26-year-old man, identified as Tarun, was brutally killed in Southwest Delhi’s Uttam Nagar following a dispute over a water balloon. The incident began when an 11-year-old girl playing on a terrace accidentally splashed coloured water on a woman from another family. What started as a verbal spat quickly escalated into a violent confrontation between two groups. Tarun, who was reportedly returning home and was not part of the initial dispute, was intercepted by a mob and assaulted with sticks and stones.

The victim’s family alleged that the attackers crushed his chest with a heavy stone, leading to his death during treatment. The killing sparked massive protests outside the Uttam Nagar police station, with locals and political outfits demanding immediate justice. Tensions flared further when a crowd gathered outside the residence of the accused, prompting heavy police deployment to prevent further rioting. Authorities have registered an FIR and apprehended several suspects, while CCTV footage is being reviewed to identify all those involved in the lynching. (NDTV)
