Digital Revenue Cards in Kerala from Feb 24; Smart Village Offices Become People-Friendly

PATHANAMTHITTA: Revenue Minister K. Rajan announced that the state’s Digital Revenue Card will be dedicated to the public on February 24, 2026. The Minister was speaking after virtually inaugurating the construction of the Mezhuveli Smart Village Office. The Revenue Card, shaped like an ATM card, will feature an embedded chip, a QR code, and a unique identification number containing all land-related data of an individual.

The Minister highlighted that the government’s Pattayam Mission has already made 4.5 lakh people landowners. The mission aims to ensure land ownership for all deserving citizens. Under the digital resurvey project, over 10 lakh land holdings have been measured. The department has also streamlined procedures to ensure corruption-free land dealings, enabling online applications for 21 types of certificates. Currently, 673 village offices across the state have been upgraded to ‘Smart’ offices.

Presiding over the function, Health Minister Veena George stated that Smart Village Offices have acquired a people-friendly face. The modernization through the ‘Revenue Smart Office’ project, including e-office systems, online applications, and file tracking, has ensured fast and transparent services. The event was attended by District Collector S. Prem Krishnan, ADM B. Jyothi, District Panchayat member Savitha Ajaykumar, Mezhuveli Panchayat President T.A. Nejomon, and other officials.
