KOCHI: Dr. Navami, Assistant Professor at Amrita School of Medicine, Kochi, has achieved international recognition by being selected for the ‘India RISE Fellowship 2026’. The fellowship is awarded by the Gupta-Klinsky India Institute of Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. Navami is among the 40 women scientists selected from across India for this prestigious global leadership program, acknowledging her exceptional contributions to the field of Community Medicine. Her research papers and dedication to public health have been lauded as an inspiration for future medical researchers.
She is the daughter of Pushpakumari and Sashidharan Pillai of ‘Navaneetham’, Nangyarkulangara. Dr. Navami credits her success to the unwavering support of her husband, Kiran, and her son, Avyukth.
