Drunk Man Pushes Young Woman Out of Running Train Near Varkala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM – A shocking incident happened on Sunday night near Varkala in Kerala. A young woman was seriously hurt after a drunk man pushed her out of a moving train.
The woman was travelling on the Kerala Express train. Police said the incident took place around 8:30 PM, just after the train left the Varkala station.

What Happened?
The victim, a woman named Sreekutty, was traveling with her friend in the unreserved coach.
When the woman came out near the train door, the accused, who was drunk, suddenly pushed her out of the running train.
Her friend said the man also tried to pull her down, but she held onto the door and was saved by other passengers.
Passengers quickly pulled the chain and called the police.

Accused Arrested
The police launched a search and found the injured woman lying near the tracks, about two kilometers from Varkala.
She was rushed to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital and is in a critical condition with severe injuries.

The accused, identified as Suresh Kumar from Vellarada, Thiruvananthapuram, was caught by the police and is now in custody. He was heavily drunk at the time.

The railway police are now investigating the entire matter.
