THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: On Wednesday, Kerala’s Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan highly praised Vellappally Natesan, a well-known leader of the Ezhava community. The CM described Natesan as someone who actively works to put the ideas of the 20th-century saint and reformer Sree Narayana Guru into practice.
Natesan is the general secretary of the Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam, a group representing the large Ezhava community in the state.
During a function organized by the SNDP, the Chief Minister said that the Guru taught that social justice can be achieved by providing education and jobs to people from disadvantaged communities.
