Kerala’s Onam Liquor Sales Reach Over Rs 826 Crore

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala’s state-run liquor shops (BEVCO) sold liquor worth Rs 826.38 crore during the Onam festival season, officials said.

According to data from the Kerala State Beverages Corporation (KSBC), sales from August 25 to September 4 increased by 6.38% compared to the same period last year. In 2024, sales were Rs 776.82 crore.

On Thursday, which was Uthradam day, the day before Onam, BEVCO shops sold liquor worth Rs 137.64 crore, which is a 9.23% increase from Rs 126.01 crore on the same day last year.
