Yogi Asks PM Modi for November Date to Open Noida Airport

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Saturday. He asked the Prime Minister to set a date in the third week of November for the inauguration of the first phase of the Noida International Airport in Jewar.

The Chief Minister gave the PM a detailed update on the work completed so far and how airport operations can start after the first phase is finished.

He also talked about other matters with the PM, including Modi’s possible visit to Ayodhya on November 25 for a flag-hoisting ceremony (‘Dharam Dhwaj’) on top of the Ram Temple. Adityanath also invited the Prime Minister to the inauguration of the National Jamboree of the Bharat Scouts and Guides in Lucknow from November 23 to 29.

Additionally, the CM presented a report on the ‘Viksit Uttar Pradesh-2047’ campaign, which has collected 50 lakh suggestions. He informed the PM about the state government’s key achievements over the last eight years and upcoming large projects.

Earlier that day, CM Adityanath also met President Droupadi Murmu to discuss her proposed attendance at the November 25 flag-hoisting ceremony in Ayodhya. The CM is staying in Delhi overnight to attend the inauguration of the Yashoda Medicity project in Ghaziabad on Sunday, where President Murmu, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak will also be present.

The CM had also personally inspected the Jewar airport site, checking on facilities like the domestic terminal, security, traffic control, and the inauguration area. He held a review meeting with officials, emphasizing that the airport is a symbol of UP’s development and that high quality and timely completion must be top priorities. (With input from TIE)
