Schedule: According to the timetable announced by the Railway Board on October 31:
Train No 26651 (Bengaluru-Ernakulam) will depart KSR Bengaluru at 5.10 am and arrive at Ernakulam Junction at 1.50 pm.
Train No 26652 (Ernakulam-Bengaluru) will leave Ernakulam Junction at 2.20 pm and reach KSR Bengaluru at 11 pm.
Journey Time & Stops: The daily train will take eight-and-a-half hours to cover the distance.
Stops in Kerala: Only two stops in Kerala: Thrissur and Palakkad.
Other Stops: The train will also stop at Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, and Jolarpettai in Tamil Nadu, and Krishnarajapuram in Karnataka.
Inauguration: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is tentatively slated to inaugurate the four new Vande Bharat trains, including the Bengaluru-Ernakulam one, virtually on November 7. A special service for VIPs will run from Ernakulam to Bengaluru on the day, with the commercial operations start date to be announced later.
Significance: This will be the third Vande Bharat Express operating through Kerala and the fourth to be operated by the Thiruvananthapuram division.
