K. Jayakumar takes charge as new Travancore Devaswom Board President

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Veteran bureaucrat K. Jayakumar officially assumed charge as the new President of the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB), which manages the Sabarimala temple and other shrines. K. Raju also took office as a new member of the Board.

The formal ceremony was held on November 15 at the TDB headquarters and was attended by several state ministers, including V. Sivankutty, V. N. Vasavan, Ramachandran Kadannappally, and G. R. Anil.

New Leadership Profile
K. Jayakumar: He is a former Chief Secretary of Kerala. Following his retirement from the bureaucracy, he served as the Vice Chancellor of Malayalam University. He is currently the Director of the Institute of Management in Government (IMG).

K. Raju: The new Board member is a former Minister who held portfolios including Forest, Wildlife, Animal Husbandry, and Dairy Development. (Keralanews.gov)
