Kalaburagi (Karnataka): Authorities on Sunday denied permission for an RSS route march in Chittapur, the home constituency of Minister Priyank Kharge, citing the potential for a breach of peace and law and order issues.
The Chittapur Town Municipal Council, under police protection on Saturday, had already removed RSS cut-outs and banners installed on the main road, stating they were erected before permission for the route march had been granted.
“To prevent a breach of peace and law and order issues in Chittapur and to avoid any untoward incidents, permission for the RSS route march scheduled for October 19, 2025, is hereby denied and the application is rejected,” the Chittapur Tahsildar stated in the order dated October 18.
