Kerala Police Brings Cyber Stations Under Control of Cyber Division Headquarters

Thiruvananthapuram: Amidst the rising number of cybercrimes in Kerala, the State Police has decided to bring all Cyber Police Stations in the state under the administrative and operational control of the Cyber Division Headquarters.

The State Government had recently granted approval to the police chief to transfer the control of the 19 Cyber Police Stations across the state from their respective District Police Chiefs to the oversight of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Cyber Operations.

Police officials stated that this decision aims to ensure consistency and effectiveness in the investigation of cybercrimes across the state.
