Navi Mumbai building fire: Four killed, several injured

A terrible fire at a tall apartment building in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, sadly killed four people, including a young girl, and hurt ten others. It happened just after midnight on Tuesday.

Police said the fire began around 12:30 am in a flat on the 10th floor of the Raheja Residency in Sector 14. The fire grew quickly, spreading to the 11th and 12th floors before it was stopped.

The people who died were two women, one man, and a six-year-old girl. Ten injured people were immediately taken to hospitals in Vashi.

A large team of 40 firefighters with eight fire engines and police rushed to the scene. Firefighters fought the blaze for several hours and finally put it out by 4:00 am.

Officials are still looking into what caused the fire.
