Pakistan Breaks Ceasefire in Leepa Valley, Fires at Indian Army Posts

The Pakistani army recently broke the ceasefire agreement on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Leepa valley. They fired at Indian army posts using small guns and mortar shells overnight on October 26-27.

However, the Indian Army strongly fought back against the attack. The LoC had been peaceful since May 10, when Pakistan asked India to stop military action after three days of fighting. Leepa is a high-altitude valley that has often been used by people trying to cross the border illegally.
