Around 3,000 contestants from approximately 20 major Indian schools in Qatar are participating in various on-stage and off-stage events. The inauguration featured a colourful procession highlighting the Indo-Qatar cultural bond, officially launching the competitions.
Events and Attractions
Competitions are running from October 26 to 28, from 9 am to 11 pm, across four main venues:
Mayuri (Dance)
Amritavarshini (Music)
Sahithi (Literary)
Rangoli (Painting)
In addition to the contests, the festival grounds also feature a Food Pavilion for visitors and a special art exhibition showcasing works by prominent artists from the Visual Art Forum India (VAFI), serving as a major attraction.
Awards and Conclusion
Judges from various Indian states are evaluating the performances. Awards include the prestigious individual titles of ‘Kalathilakam’ and ‘Kalaprathibha,’ as well as special prizes for the schools securing the first and second highest overall points.
The prize distribution will take place at the closing ceremony on November 1. The event will be attended by Qatar Indian Ambassador Vipul, representatives from the Qatar Ministry of Culture and Education, and prominent dignitaries from the fields of cinema, literature, and culture.
