Yamuna River Rises Above Danger Mark in Delhi

NEW DELHI: The Yamuna River’s water level has gone past the danger mark in Delhi. On Tuesday morning, it reached 205.75 meters at the Old Railway Bridge, which is higher than the danger level of 205.33 meters.

This rise in water is a threat to low-lying areas, which could face flooding.

On Monday, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that the government is fully prepared to handle the situation. At 6 a.m. on Tuesday, the river was already flowing at 205.68 meters, well above the danger mark.
