First Flight Departs Doha Since Start of War.

A Qatar Airways A380 bound for London became the first aircraft to depart Doha since the U.S.-Israel war on Iran began on February 28. According to flight tracking service Flightradar24, the departure followed Qatar’s decision to partially reopen its airspace for evacuation and essential cargo flights. This marks the resumption of limited air travel from Hamad International Airport after a period of complete suspension due to regional hostilities.

Aviation authorities stated that priority for these flights is being given to stranded passengers with families, elderly travelers, and those with urgent medical or compassionate needs. While this is a significant step, officials clarified that the airspace remains only partially open, with flights restricted to specific safety corridors as the conflict continues. (Doha News)
