Karnataka DGP-Rank Officer Ramachandra Rao Suspended Over Viral Sleaze Video

BENGALURU: The Karnataka government on Tuesday suspended senior IPS officer Ramachandra Rao, who holds the rank of Director General of Police (DGP), following the emergence of a viral video on social media. The video allegedly shows the officer in compromising positions with different women inside his official cabin.

The suspension follows intense public outrage and political controversy regarding the officer’s conduct within a public office. Taking note of the situation, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah sought a detailed briefing from the Home Department on Monday. Based on the findings and the gravity of the allegations, the state administration officially ordered his suspension a day later. (IndiaToday)
