Kerala CM: Foreign Investment in Hospitals Hikes Treatment Costs

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan stated on Monday that foreign investment in some private hospitals is making treatment costs very high.

Speaking at the foundation stone ceremony for a new surgery complex at Government Medical College Hospital, he said, “These companies did not invest to improve healthcare but to get higher profits.”
