The project will increase employment opportunities. The Minister also said that a tourism boat service will be started along with the project.
Presiding over the function online, Agriculture Minister P Prasad said that the project, which paves the way for endless tourism possibilities, is a great gift for Alappuzha. The Safari project has been designed by coordinating the elements of tourism, transport, and local development in the Kuttanad region, modeled after the Desert Safari in Dubai. This amphitheater will be constructed entirely using eco-friendly materials. As part of the project, facilities will be provided on Pathiramanal Island for presenting entertainment and cultural programs, as well as local art forms.
The event, held at the Cochin Smart Mission Limited office, was attended by Muhamma Panchayat President Swapna Shabu, Water Transport Department Director Shaji V Nair, Ward Member Laila Shaji, Muhamma Panchayat Secretary M P Maheedharan, and Indian Oil Corporation Director Anand Sampath, among others.
