The Kerala Hotel and Restaurant Association (KHRA) on Tuesday announced a statewide shutdown of hotels and eateries on March 23 to protest against the ongoing shortage of LPG supply. In a statement issued following a state executive committee meeting, the KHRA demanded that the hotel industry be declared an essential service to ensure a steady supply of cooking gas.
The association highlighted that the current scarcity is severely impacting the food industry across Kerala. The committee has decided to continue their demonstrations and protests until the government and authorities address their demands for consistent LPG distribution. (PTI)
