DOHA: The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has announced the arrest of 313 individuals of various nationalities for filming and circulating unauthorized video clips and spreading misleading information. The arrests were carried out by the Economic and Cyber Crimes Prevention Department following violations of official directives regarding the current regional situation.
According to a statement issued on Monday, the accused were involved in disseminating rumors and content intended to incite public concern. Legal and administrative measures have been initiated against all those detained. The Ministry has urged the public to refrain from filming or publishing unverified content and emphasized the importance of obtaining information only from approved official sources.
Authorities affirmed that they will continue to take strict legal action against anyone found committing such violations to maintain public order. (QNA)
