Republic Day 2026: Kerala Leaders Call for Vigilance, Unity, and Protection of Constitutional Rights
Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, and Speaker A N Shamseer extended their warm greetings to the people of the state on the eve of the 77th Republic Day, stressing the importance of upholding constitutional values and duties. In his official message, the Governor described Republic Day as a solemn reminder of the Constitution’s adoption and the enduring principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity that unite the nation. He also paid heartfelt tribute to the freedom fighters, martyrs, and the framers of the Constitution. Specifically mentioning the leadership of Dr. B R Ambedkar, the Governor noted that their visionary work laid the essential foundation for the world’s largest democracy, according to a statement issued by the Raj Bhavan.
