Special Drive to Curb Autorickshaw Accidents: Kerala Detects 3,818 Violations, Suspends 59 Licenses.

Thiruvananthapuram: Amid a rising number of accidents involving autorickshaws in the state, a special drive conducted in Kerala to check the issue detected 3,818 violations and resulted in the suspension of 59 licenses, police announced on Wednesday.

Police stated that 330 autorickshaw accidents occurred in the state between June and August 2025. Out of these, 108 involved pedestrians, officials added.

The week-long special enforcement and awareness drive, which focused on checking reckless and unsafe autorickshaw behavior on roads and other violations, commenced on October 6, according to a press release issued by the State Police Media Centre.
