Tragedy in Dubai: Malayali Expat Dies Hours Before Flying Home for Ramadan Reunion.

DUBAI: A 39-year-old Indian expatriate from Kerala, Favaz Chambantagath House, died in Dubai on Sunday evening, just hours before he was scheduled to board a flight to reunite with his family for Ramadan and Eid. Favaz, an accountant who recently secured a new job, collapsed while packing his bags shortly after iftar. Despite his friends’ immediate efforts to perform CPR and calling for an ambulance, he passed away before medical help arrived.

Favaz had no prior health issues, and the cause of death was identified as cardiac arrest. He was on a visit visa while transitioning to a new employment visa and had planned to visit his ailing mother and spend the holy month with his wife and four-year-old son. The timing of the tragedy has deeply moved the expat community, as it hauntingly mirrors the emotional climax of the Malayalam film Pathemari, where the protagonist dies just as he prepares to return home for good. His body was repatriated on Tuesday morning to his grieving family in Kerala. (Gulf News)
