Trump Vows to ‘Free’ Strait of Hormuz as Iran Continues Strikes on Arab Neighbors.

WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump has pledged to “free” the Strait of Hormuz as Iran continues its drone strikes against Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates. The conflict widened early Saturday with multiple attacks reported across several Iranian cities. US Central Command confirmed that American forces struck more than 90 Iranian military targets on Kharg Island in a precision operation on Friday night.

In a simultaneous escalation, Israel reported successful strikes on Iran’s primary space research center and an air defense production facility in Tehran. In response, Iran’s deputy defense minister stated that the country would deploy upgraded weapons, including more powerful ballistic missiles, as the war continues. Furthermore, the Islamic Revolutionary Guards declared US assets in the UAE as legitimate targets. President Trump noted that while Iran appears “totally defeated” and is seeking a deal, any agreement proposed so far remains unacceptable to Washington. (Iranintl)
