Uttam Nagar Murder Case: Bulldozer Action Taken Against Accused Nizamuddin’s Property.

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Sunday carried out a demolition drive against illegal portions of the residence of Nizamuddin, the prime accused in the murder of 26-year-old Tarun in Uttam Nagar. The action followed a strict directive from Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, who emphasized a “zero-tolerance policy” toward heinous crimes. Authorities razed structures built over public drains, while a heavy contingent of Delhi Police and paramilitary personnel remained deployed to ensure order in the tense locality.

So far, eight individuals, including a minor, have been apprehended in connection with the brutal lynching that occurred over a Holi water balloon dispute. Alongside murder charges, the police have invoked the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act against the accused. While there are growing public demands and social media calls for “spot justice” or encounter actions, the Delhi Police maintained that they are following due legal process and conducting a thorough investigation. Security has been divided into sectors across Uttam Nagar to prevent any further communal or retaliatory violence. (Delhi News)
