Veliyam Fest: Kudumbashree Achieves Sales Turnover of ₹4,56,720

Kudumbashree achieved a significant sales turnover of ₹4,56,720 through the Veliyam Exhibition-cum-Sale Fair. This event was jointly organized by the Veliyam Grama Panchayat and the Kudumbashree District Mission as part of the Comprehensive Kottarakkara Project.

Participation: 30 Kudumbashree entrepreneurial units took part in the fair.

Top Sellers: Thalavoor Pillis Foods and Ilamad Honey Drops units recorded the highest sales.

The fair featured a rich variety of products, including:

Handloom and other textiles.

Decorative items like Nettipattam (elephant caparisons).

Handicrafts.

Millets, honey, and their value-added products.

Snacks and beauty products.

Agricultural produce from Veliyam JLG (Joint Liability Group) units.

Kudumbashree Consortium curry powders were sold by entrepreneurs, and various food items were prepared by Cafe units.

A cultural evening, Kudumbashree Kalasandhya, was held at the fair organized at Odanavattom Junction. Kottarakkara Block Panchayat President A Abhilash inaugurated the cultural event, with Veliyam Grama Panchayat President R Prashanth presiding.

A BINDU, Chief Executive Officer of the Cashew Workers Welfare Fund Board, gave a presentation on the topic ‘Kerala – Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow’. P K Anil Kumar was the main speaker, and Dr. P Nithya Vishwam, Associate Professor at Sree Narayana College, handled the compilation. With input from Keralanews.gov.
