Kochi: Cubes Entertainment’s new film, “Kattalan,” has officially started production in Kochi. The launch event, held at Chakolas Pavilion in Kalamassery, was a unique affair, attracting a lot of attention. The ceremony on Friday, August 22, was attended by renowned film professionals, actors, crew members, and social dignitaries.
The event, which began at 5 PM, featured a decorated elephant with the film’s title, “Kattalan,” on its forehead, along with traditional music performances. In a first for the Malayalam film industry, the cast and crew lit a ceremonial lamp together to mark the beginning of the project.
Adding to the event’s uniqueness, awards were given to all cast and crew members at the start of the film’s production, instead of the usual practice of giving them during success celebrations.
Movie Details
Antony Varghese, also known as “Pepe,” will star in the film, which is directed by newcomer Paul George, who also wrote the screenplay. This big-budget action thriller will be shot for about 150 days in both India and abroad.
Rajisha Vijayan is the lead actress. The cast also includes Jagadish, Siddique, Kabir Duhan Singh, Anson Paul, and other actors from Malayalam, Bollywood, and other South Indian film industries.
