CPI state secretary Binoy Viswam said that the party and other LDF members were completely unaware of the decision, having been “kept in the dark.” He stated that the action was a “breach of the front’s collective discipline” (meaning, breaking the rules of working together).
Speaking to reporters after a CPI meeting, Viswam noted that there had been no talks about the PM SHRI (Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India) project in the Cabinet (Council of Ministers) up until now. Despite this, the agreement (Memorandum of Understanding or MoU) for the project was signed with “unusual haste.”
