THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former Union Minister and BJP leader Rajeev Chandrasekhar has lashed out at the CPM and Congress following the arrest of Azharuddin for pelting stones at the Vande Bharat Express in Kannur. In a Facebook post, Chandrasekhar stated that this incident is not an isolated one but a symptom of a destructive political culture that misguides the youth toward extremism.
He alleged that goons from development-averse parties like the CPM and Congress have repeatedly targeted India’s modern railway infrastructure. Instead of taking pride in the nation’s progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, these ideologies teach the youth to hate development, he claimed. Stressing the need for a BJP/NDA government in Kerala, he urged the state to move away from divisive politics and lead its youth toward skill development and nation-building.
BJP leader Rajeev Chandrasekhar expressed grave concern over the political climate in Kerala following the arrest of a youth for stone-pelting at the Vande Bharat Express. In a strongly worded Facebook post, he stated in malayalam:
“When I see such incidents, my mind is filled with anxiety about the future of our youth. At the same time, each such sight gives me the strength to come forward to end the destructive political culture that diverts them towards terrorism. The arrest of Azharuddin, who pelted stones at the Vande Bharat Express in Kannur, is not just an isolated incident. It is a symptom of a toxic political culture. This is not the first time that India’s state-of-the-art railway system has been attacked.
Goons of CPM and Congress, who have anti-development stands, have targeted Vande Bharat many times. Youths like Azharuddin are victims of such anti-development environments. Instead of taking pride in the country’s progress, they are taught to hate it. While India is surging forward under the strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modiji, obsolete ideologies and divisive politics are pushing Kerala backwards. We should reject the politics of terrorism and lead our youth to the path of new ideas, aspirations, skill development, and nation-building. Instead of staying isolated from India’s growth, Kerala should become a part of that growth. To make that change a reality, a BJP/NDA government is essential.”
