School Bus Driver Dies After Heart Attack While Driving; Major Accident Averted.

A 62-year-old school bus driver died after suffering a heart attack while operating the vehicle in Kottarakkara. The deceased, G. Rajendran, was a long-time driver for the BRM School in Chengamanad. The incident occurred around 8:00 AM while Rajendran was maneuvering the bus to pick up students. Feeling sudden physical distress, he managed to park and turn off the engine before collapsing in his seat.

Local residents rushed him to a private hospital, but he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Authorities noted that Rajendran’s quick thinking in securing the vehicle before losing consciousness likely prevented a major accident involving the students. Rajendran had served the school for over 12 years. He is survived by his wife, Omana, and two children. (Kerala News)
