THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) has come out with a sharp criticism against Chief Minister V. D. Satheesan, accusing him of functioning as a facilitator for the RSS agenda and protecting their vested interests in the state since the new UDF government assumed power. The party alleged that the decision to sing the entire verses of Vande Mataram during the official swearing-in ceremony of the new cabinet was a blatant demonstration of his subservience to the RSS. The political outfit also pointed out that the Chief Minister has failed to answer their crucial political query regarding the real purpose behind his unpublicized visit to Mangaluru just days before the assembly election results were declared.
The SDPI further criticized that the strategic appointment of bureaucrat Rattan Khelkar was done by bowing down to the direct dictates and interests of the Central Government. The party leadership strongly complained that the newly formed state government is openly abetting the right-wing outfits’ long-term interests to systematically institutionalize the saffronization of higher education sectors and major universities across Kerala.
