KOCHI: Actress and screenwriter Nileen Sandra has tied the knot. Director Syamin Gireesh is the groom. The wedding was held in a private ceremony in the presence of close relatives and friends. Nileen Sandra shared her wedding photos and videos on social media.
The actress also expressed her joy about her life with Syamin through an Instagram post. She wrote that she is happy to spend the rest of her life with Syamin and still cannot believe that the marriage is a reality. Nileen thanked everyone who wished her a happy married life through a subsequent Onam greeting post.
Nileen and Syamin, who have been close friends since 2017, announced their decision to get married last February.
‘It’s a Medical Miracle’ is a film directed by Syamin Gireesh starring Sangeeth Pratap and Sarafudheen in lead roles. Nileen Sandra, who gained attention through the ‘Karikku’ web series, also earned praise for her lead role in the film ‘Aavasavyuham’. She subsequently acted in movies like ‘2018’ and ‘Officer on Duty’. Nileen rose to fame with the episode ‘Samarthyasasthram’ in the ‘Karikku’ series directed by Syamin Gireesh, for which she also wrote the screenplay. A native of Aroor in Ernakulam, Nileen’s father Judie served as a Tehsildar and her mother Mary was a High Court employee. She also has a brother.
