Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s massive roadshow at the Swaraj Round in Thrissur on Sunday has significantly energized the NDA’s assembly election campaign. Hundreds of supporters gathered around the Thekkinkadu Maidan, waving flags and showering flower petals as the PM’s open vehicle passed through.
A notable highlight was the presence of former CPI MLA and current BJP candidate for Nattika, C C Mukundan, alongside the Prime Minister. Other key leaders in the vehicle included Union Minister Suresh Gopi, Padmaja Venugopal, and K K Aneeshkumar.
The event was celebrated with traditional art forms like Sinkari Melam and Pulikali. Building on the momentum from the 2024 Lok Sabha victory, the BJP is focusing heavily on the Thrissur, Nattika, and Manalur constituencies.
Later, during a speech in Palakkad, PM Modi hit out at the Congress party over recent sexual assault allegations involving its leaders, stating that the party has become a threat to the safety of women in Kerala. (TNIE)
