KOLLAM: In a tragic incident, an 11-year-old girl collapsed and died during her karate training session. The deceased, identified as Ahana, a resident of Walakam, passed away on Thursday morning (April 16) at a training center in Anchal.
Ahana had reached the karate class in the morning accompanied by her mother. According to preliminary reports, the child suddenly collapsed, either during the session or while preparing to head home after the practice. Although she was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital, she was declared brought dead.
The exact cause of death remains unknown at this stage. Authorities stated that only a post-mortem report would confirm whether a cardiac arrest or other underlying physical issues led to the sudden demise. The Anchal Police have registered a case and initiated a formal investigation. The increasing frequency of children collapsing during physical training has sparked significant concern among parents in the region.
