Indian Music Maestro Ilaiyaraaja to Perform in Doha

Doha, Qatar – Legendary Indian musical maestro Ilaiyaraaja, also known as “Isaignani” (musical genius), will be performing live in Doha for the first time. The concert, presented by Qatar Tamizhar Sangam, is a historic event for music lovers in the region.

The performance will take place on Friday, October 3, 2025, at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) in Halls 7, 8, and 9. Doors will open at 4 PM, with the show starting at 7 PM and concluding at 11 PM.

Ilaiyaraaja is one of India’s most prolific composers, having created over 8,600 songs and scores for more than 1,500 feature films in nine languages. His timeless compositions are celebrated for blending classical Indian traditions with contemporary sounds.

The concert will feature his greatest hits, brought to life by his orchestra and renowned singers. The event is expected to be a nostalgic journey through decades of his musical brilliance.

Entry is free for children under four years old. Tickets for the concert are available through Q-Tickets, with various seating options. Special arrangements have also been made for physically challenged guests.
