Alappuzha: Harnessing the wide storytelling possibilities of mainstream cinema, upcoming feature film ‘Thalayana’ (A Loop Story) is nearing completion. Written and directed by Cini Scaria, who transitions to feature films after crafting notable short films and telefilms, the project focuses on lost human values and evolving interpersonal relationships. The movie is bankrolled under the banner of Alleppey Talkies.
Set against the scenic backdrop of Kuttanad, the family drama traces the journey of a family across three generations. Cini Scaria weaves a heartwarming narrative that explores deep emotional bonds, love, and personal conflicts between these generations.
The cast features a blend of fresh faces and experienced artists from various media backgrounds. Key roles are played by Harippad Brahman (known for ‘Marimayam’), Durga Harippad (‘Pranayavilasam’ fame), and Ponnu Kottayam, alongside Sunil C.P., Shashi Pallathuruthy, Pranavam Unnikrishnan, Risa Maria Cyril, Janeesh Kuttanad, Antony Appichery, Alleppey Johnson, Anil Vilavanal, Biju Mangad, Merin Fort Kochi, James Kidangara, Ratheesh Shashidharan, Manikyan, and Manoharan.
