SFI Leader Found Dead in Kollam’s Kadakkal; Police Launch Investigation.

KADAKKAL: Abhinand, a local leader of the Students’ Federation of India (SFI), was found dead at his residence in Kadakkal, Kollam, on Wednesday. Abhinand (21), who served as the Vice President of the SFI Kadakkal Area Committee, was a degree student at St. John’s College, Anchal. The incident came to light around 2:00 PM when his brother went to call him for lunch and found the bedroom door locked from the inside.

Upon breaking open the door, Abhinand was found hanging from a ceiling fan. The Kadakkal police reached the spot and shifted the body to the Kadakkal Taluk Hospital mortuary for an autopsy. Preliminary reports suggest it is a case of suicide; however, the police stated that no suicide note was recovered from the scene. An investigation has been initiated to determine the cause behind the young leader’s extreme step. (Kerala News)
