THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a massive blow to the ruling LDF ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections, Bindu Menon, wife of Transport Minister K.B. Ganesh Kumar, has publicly accused him of infidelity and physical intimidation. Menon alleged that she caught the minister “red-handed” with another woman at his ancestral home in Valakam last Saturday and was subsequently assaulted by his staff when she attempted to record the incident.
She further claimed that despite seeking help through the police helpline on the advice of relative and former DGP R. Sreelekha, the police failed to act. While Ganesh Kumar dismissed the allegations as a “politically motivated election stunt” and remarked that “love is not a crime,” the opposition UDF has demanded his immediate resignation, citing concerns over morality and women’s safety in the state.
