Gangster leader stabbed to death in Kerala- Karungapally.
A notorious gang leader was hacked to death by a rival group in Karunagappally, Kollam, on Saturday morning. The deceased, identified as Aluva Athul, was the prime accused in the murder of another gangster, Gym Santhosh. The brazen attack took place near Puthiyakavu while Athul was returning home after reporting to the police station as part of his bail conditions. Assailants in another vehicle chased Athul’s car and rammed it, causing it to fall into an excavated portion of the national highway. A group of men then emerged and repeatedly hacked Athul with machetes while he was trapped inside the vehicle. Though he was rushed to a nearby hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. CCTV footage of the incident has been released, and police believe the murder is a direct result of ongoing gang rivalry in the region. (TNIE)
