The internal conflict within the CPI(M) has reached a new high as the war of words with rebel leader G Sudhakaran intensifies. Minister Saji Cherian has launched a sharp attack against the former party veteran, claiming that he lacks political integrity.
While addressing an election convention for Minister P Prasad in Cherthala, Cherian accused Sudhakaran of betraying the party by choosing to contest as an independent candidate from the Ambalappuzha constituency.
In a notable comparison, the Minister drew a parallel between G Sudhakaran and Congress MP K Sudhakaran, who famously voiced his dissent against his own party leadership after being denied an Assembly ticket from Kannur.
