The final rites of 32-year-old Harish Rana, who passed away following India’s first legally sanctioned passive euthanasia, will be held today morning in Ghaziabad. Harish had spent 4,599 days in a persistent vegetative state before being allowed to die with dignity.
In a noble gesture, his family donated his heart valves and corneas, ensuring that even in death, he provides a new lease of life to others. The funeral service will be attended by close family members and relatives as they bid farewell to a young man who endured a long and painful battle in a coma. (India News)
